Acceptable use policy
Draft — pending legal review. These policies are not binding yet and purchasing is closed. Highlighted items are details the seller still has to provide.
Version draft-v1 · Updated 2026-10-21In short
- Use your server for lawful purposes only.
- No attacks, spam, malware, phishing or illegal content.
- A compromised server you do not clean up counts as a violation.
1. Scope
This policy applies to everything you or anyone using your server does with it. It is part of the Service terms.
2. What is not allowed
- Content or activity that is illegal where you live, where we operate, or where the servers are located.
- Child sexual abuse material. We have zero tolerance and report it to the authorities.
- Malware, ransomware, botnets, command-and-control servers, phishing or fraudulent sites.
- Attacking others: unauthorized access, port or vulnerability scanning, brute-force attempts, denial-of-service traffic.
- Spam and unsolicited bulk messages, and running open mail relays or open proxies.
- Distributing material that infringes copyright or other rights, including pirated software or media.
- Impersonation, harassment or threats.
- Cryptocurrency mining and other sustained heavy use that harms other customers, unless your plan explicitly allows it.
- Reselling access to the server itself as a hosting service without our written approval.
- Anything that breaches the infrastructure provider’s terms or the law of the place where the server is located.
3. Keeping your server secure
You are responsible for security. Install Windows updates, use strong unique passwords, limit who can reach Remote Desktop (for example by IP address or VPN), and remove software you do not need. A server that is hacked and used to attack others violates this policy until you secure it.
4. Monitoring
We do not routinely read the contents of your server. We do look into reports, and we may check network and resource usage and ask you for information to investigate.
5. What happens if the policy is broken
Depending on how serious it is, we may ask you to fix it, suspend the server, or terminate the service. Serious violations can lead to immediate suspension without notice. See the Abuse Policy for the process.
